Greetings!
Do you have a really large wall in your house, that needs to have something on it, but your not quite sure what or how to decorate it?
I have several walls like that in our home that really need some attention.
I don’t like to hang stuff on the wall just to do it. It has to have a purpose, compliment the decor, and look great! More often than not, I will leave a wall blank for the longest time, until I find that one grouping or idea that just reaches out and grabs me.
You know when you look and look for something to add that wow factor, and you just can’t find it until one day, you do.
Well I looked and looked for that wall something to put up in the main floor hallway, and I didn’t actually find it, but rather it was given to me.
My parents gave us this really neat vinyl/photo wall decor for our anniversary this month.
Looking at the box, it looked like a major undertaking…….it turned out to be a little time consuming but worth it I think.
This massive vinyl wall decor is $24.99 at Lowe’s, and you can purchase it here.
We really love the way it turned out. Like I said…it is a little time consuming though.
I started with the word, “Harmony”, and placed it just about in the center of where the completed art would be.
After deciding which lay-out to use based upon the box’s suggestion,
I found my center-ish point, and made sure it was level using a small level tool.
A pencil and a ruler come in handy too.
I spaced each picture and saying about 1 1/2 inches apart.
I would say it took me roughly an hour to complete.
Now, the fun part…adding pictures!
Confession time….I have a bad habit of hanging or setting up a photo collage wall art and never changing out the store pics to my family pics…true story!
So, this month, I am making it a priority of removing those “perfect” store pics, and placing our family photos inside.
So there ya have it….a beautiful piece of art, that looks great and occupies a large wall!
