Hello Beautifuls!
Today, we’re going to take a look at a unique option for a window treatment.
A swag! Yep a swag. Now I’m not talking about the way you dress or walk kind of swag, but the kind that hangs over a window.
Take a look at what I put up over our kitchen window…
I used some grapevine, a cluster of grape lights, burlap, and a vine garland.
It was really easy to assemble. I had general idea of how I wanted it to look and began layering each element.
I put everything together in my craft room, then hung it over the window.
That space just over the window felt like it needed a little pizazz, and I think this did the trick…..what do you think?
Here’s some pics of the process…
I started with some grapevine, that I purchased from a florist shop while visiting in Ohio one time.
Next, I added a grapevine garland that came from Hobby Lobby.
Now this cluster of grapes light, is my all time fav. I found these little beauties at a winery in the clearance section (my fav place to shop in a store), in French Lick, Indiana.
I used the grape lights as the focal point to the swag. Once I attached the grapevine garland to the actual grapevine and added the grapes, next I draped a 6 inch wide burlap ribbon that I bought from Hobby Lobby.
It really is not difficult or expensive, but makes a big impact over the window.
I get compliments all the time on this swag.
I hope this inspires you to create something unique today!
Love,
Blondray
