There is just something about old doors and chairs! I love them both.
As a matter of fact, my garage is full, well not completely full, but there are several antique chairs in the garage waiting to be given a new look!
I shared before about how I used our old front door as a desk for my hubby’s office.
When we updated the windows and doors in our old farmhouse, I couldn’t part with the all the windows or the front door. So I hung on to the door in hopes of using it later down the road.
And that’s what I did…now we have a small piece of our first home that we purchased.
Every once in a while I’ll run across someone selling an old door, and my mind begins to think about how I can use that door somehow, someway in our home, other than in it’s typical use.
The first place I check for ideas is Hometalk.com or Pinterest!
Have you checked out Hometalk.com yet? No? Oh. My. Goodness..you need to! It is an amazing place to hang out!
Check out my board on Hometalk for neat uses for those old doors. You will never throw out or pass up an old door ever again after seeing these ideas.
See what I’m talking about? Everything from a chalkboard to a headboard.
Like the desk I made for hubby? You can purchase columns similar to mine below:
Hop on over to Hometalk and check it out!
Have a great week!
Love,
