I love seeing how other people create organization in their homes. It gives me inspiration to
become more organized. It helps me to visualize how I can create that same organization.
Today, I want to share an organization idea in the form of a command center.
About 7 years ago, I decided our family needed a central location to house everyone’s schedules, etc.
With 1 teenager working, in sports and the other teenager in sports, life can get a bit frazzled.
I decided to create some kind of space that could help keep us all informed.
It was simple yet effective.
I put it in the most central location of our home at that time, which was the hallway.
It contained a chalkboard, calendar, cork board, coat rack and a cabinet to house cell phone chargers, phone books, pens and paper.
It probably was not the most beautiful home decor idea around but it worked.
Since moving into our new home here in Kentucky, I have been working on other decor/organization projects, that were a priority.
Our oldest 2 children have grown up and moved out and our little dude is busy but not like the older two were. Yet I still love the idea of a command center and a visual to help organize what’s going on.
Traci over at Beneath My Heart has created a command center that is amazing. It not only looks great but is super functional. It’s not cluttered or overwhelming, just simple and clean.
Check it out…..
Chalkboards are my favorite, I have them in just about every room in our home.
I would not have thought to use it as a command center base though. Super neat!
This is such a great idea and easy to achieve. She has so many great organizing ideas, and I promise you will be inspired!
Have a great weekend and be inspired to create a command center in your home.
