Hello lovelies~
I apologize for being MIA, for a bit, 2 months that is!
I have been recovering from a much needed surgery, decorating and enjoying this past fall season, AND welcoming a new fur-baby addition to our family. I completely forgot how much work puppies are. It’s like having a newborn baby! Seriously!
She was awake every 2 hours; wanted to eat and play during those awake times.
The first week with the puppy was a rough one, but we survived! She’s almost 13 weeks now, twice her size and very rambunctious.
Meet Bella!
Isn’t she just too cute? Don’t let her cute-ness fool you though….she’s a handful, but I love her!
Now, on to what I wanted to share with you today…a Christmas tree decorating tip.
Maybe you already know this and even do this with your own tree, but I just figured it out, so it’s new info. for me.
We have a 12 foot tree….yes I said 12 foot, and decorating that big of a tree is a major undertaking.
I started with my new best friend…deco mesh! Seriously folks, I love this stuff!
It covers a multitude of sins, it’s that awesome! I’ve been using it to make wreathes and now on my trees.
I also used really wide ribbon and looped it down the tree much like I did with the mesh.
The tip I want to share is in hanging the ornament balls. I have a lot of balls to use and placing them on a branch one by one, is just annoying to me. So here’s what I did…
I grabbed some of the ornament hanger wires and straightened them out. Next, I took two balls and wired them together, then just draped them over a branch.
Now all I have to do is just take it off the branch, no un-wiring the ornament. Super easy huh?
I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner!
Decorating the tree this year was actually fun and didn’t feel like a chore that I dread.
Hopefully, this inspires you to add more ornaments to your tree and makes your decorating tree life so much easier. I know it sure did for me.
Have a super great day!
