A while back I purchased a fireplace mantel from a friend of mine that was rescued
from a very old home.
I measured the wall over our bathtub and it was a perfect fit.
I knew this was meant to be…a match made in bathroom heaven!
Once we attached the mantel to the wall, I then hung a candle wall sconce set in the opening.
It looked alright, but wasn’t quite what I was looking for.
During this summer, while garage sale shopping, I came across a wall mounted electric fireplace.
It was a good price and I snatched it up!
I always carry a seamstress tape…I measured, and it was the perfect size.
We will hire an electrician to install an outlet for it.
I love the way it looks and can’t wait to actually turn it on..:)
I don’t use the bathtub but maybe once or twice every 3-4 months, (rest assured I do use the shower :)) so it’s mostly a decor thing for us!
