Happy July 1st and July 4th week! Let’s talk about porch decor today!
The entrance to your home is the most important area to decorate, and why not? It’s the first thing someone sees upon arrival to your home,
and if you’re having a big shin-dig for the 4th then you will want to get ready.
It can be an extension of the inside of your home. It really doesn’t take much to do. A nice wreath on the door, or even a swag up over the door.
For years, I opted out of a wreath and went with a massive grapevine swag over the doorway. I would leave the grapevine as a base, then change out
according to the season. It was such a hit, that I had several people stop by, ring the doorbell and ask where I purchased the swag from. When I told
them that I had made it, they asked if I could make them one. So….they paid and I made…:)
Anywho…back to discussing porch decor.
Just about everything I use on my porches to decorate with is items that I have picked up at yard sales or you guessed it….the clearance section
after the holiday has passed.
We have 2 good-sized porches. 1 in the front and 1 on the side of the house. We also have the back patio/pool area!
For now, I have just tackled the front and side porches.
I have used signs, old metal containers, flowers, pillows and even a throw to decorate my porches.
I want the outside entrance to feel welcoming and homey.
So here’s some pics for you to enjoy.

Thank you for allowing me to share our home with you!
Have a blessed weekend!!
